Sweetwater Authority Goes Live with infraMap 5.2

February 13, 2008

Chula Vista, California:

The Sweetwater Authority has officially deployed infraMap 5.2 to their field operations staff today.  iWater has been working closely with district staff to update their GIS and get all personnel up to speed.  Now field crews can easily perform paperless inspections of assets such as valves, hydrants, and service meters.  Integrated GPS navigation is used to accurately guide valve and hydrant trucks throughout the 32 squre miles of service area.  GIS assets can now be field verified using intuitive redline notes.  These notes are processed back in the office and immediately updated in GIS.

Sweetwater Authority provides safe, reliable water service to approximately 180,000 people in National City, Bonita and the western and central portions of Chula Vista, California.
